From local to global

Our journey began in Helsinki, where our physical store has expanded several times over the years. Thirty years ago, access to quality dancewear and shoes in Finland was limited. Experiencing this ourselves as dancers, we were motivated to improve availability and bring better products to the Finnish dance community. Starting as a small family business, we spent over 20 years delivering exclusively within Finland. After decades of serving dancers locally, taking our store online felt like a natural next step.

Since 2024, we have expanded our delivery area internationally. Today, we deliver to over 50 countries and have already reached customers in 30 countries worldwide. What started as a small Helsinki-based shop has grown into a community that now connects dancers across Europe and beyond.

Our team consists of 10 people who are passionate dancers. Our team has a wide experience from different dance styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, line dance, brazilian samba, ballroom, salsa, bachata and swing dances. We teach, train, compete and perform in our fields. This hands-on experience helps us truly understand our customers’ needs. Dance is not just a product category for us, it is a way of life. We also employ many young people. For many of them, this is their first job and a stepping stone into working life. Being part of our team often means learning responsibility, customer service skills and teamwork in a supportive environment.

Alongside our store, we offer affordable dance studio spaces. Our goal is to provide a low-threshold opportunity for instructors to start their own dance classes and build their professional and/or teaching careers. We believe that strengthening the dance community benefits everyone – students, teachers and the culture as a whole.

Finland has a strong and unique dance culture. After the wars, social partner dancing became an important meeting place and part of everyday life. In the 1980s and 1990s, new international influences expanded the scene further and worldwide dance styles we know today started to become popular. The dance scene in Finland is not limited to professionals. It is a popular hobby, a social activity and for many, a lifelong passion. This strong cultural foundation is part of what shaped our business philosophy.

We believe that price should not be a barrier to dancing. Our goal is to offer high-quality products at fair prices so that dancers at all levels can access the equipment they need.We prefer working with European manufacturers, many of whom we have collaborated with since the early years of our store. We know our suppliers personally and have built long-term, reliable partnerships that have supported our steady growth. Our assortment is carefully curated. We listen to our customers and adjust our selection based on their wishes and feedback. Every product is chosen with purpose. Our mission remains the same: to support dancers – wherever they are.

Expanding internationally allows us to share our experience, products and passion with dancers worldwide. At the same time, we continue learning from our international customers and adapting to their needs.
